At Drape FX, every venue presents a new opportunity to create a polished & professional event environment & our recent project at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Bristol City Centre was no exception.
Located in the heart of Bristol, the venue is well known for hosting conferences, corporate events, & private functions. We were approached by a new client who required a full draping solution within the Bristol Suite, as well as selected areas throughout the foyer spaces. The brief was to install black wool serge drapes across three walls of the suite, creating a clean & elegant backdrop that would completely transform the room for their event.
The Installation
Our experienced crew of four arrived on site ready for the rig, with careful planning already in place to ensure the installation ran smoothly & efficiently. Over the course of five hours, the team installed the black wool serge drapes across the required walls in the Bristol Suite while also dressing sections of the foyer areas.
Black wool serge remains one of the most effective draping materials for venue transformation. Its heavyweight finish provides excellent light absorption & creates a sleek, professional appearance that works perfectly for conferences, exhibitions, award ceremonies, & corporate productions. In this case, the drapes helped redefine the layout of the space while adding depth & sophistication to the overall environment.
Attention to detail is always a key part of our work, especially when working in busy hotel venues where efficiency & presentation are equally important. Our team worked closely with venue staff throughout the installation to ensure minimal disruption & a smooth turnaround ahead of the client’s event.
Efficient Derig
Once the event had successfully concluded, our crew returned to site to complete the derig. With four team members working efficiently & safely, the entire removal process was completed in just three & a half hours.
